<description>My piece for the Illville Hotel project, curated by Am I Collective. It's kind of an exhibition of different artists and illustrators based around the idea of a hotel - each participant gets a room to customise.

The first image is my piece that's actually on display, and the second is an alternative (but unused) illustration I was working on for the same project.

<description>This series of illustrations is partly informed by the depictions of Africa in many of the old pulp and b-grade movie posters that I've been looking at. It's basically all sex and violence, full of skulls and almost naked women. It's pretty offensive, but it also works well with my current visual direction.

<description>I've been kind of obsessed with pulp magazines, bad movies, and old horror comic books recently. These are some sci-fi, horror and mystery influenced images i've done for fun over the last while.

<description>A series of portraits of scientists I did in between freelance jobs in my first week after leaving my office. I have to admit I didn't really choose according to who has made the greatest contribution to science, I just went for three scientists who were fun to draw. They are as follows:

Anna Fisher: astronaut and chemist, and the first mother in space.
Nikola Tesla: genius, inventor, electric wizard and owner of a very fine mustache.
Max Planck: father of quantum theory.

I did the background images, and the rest was put together by All City Media.

Shirt design done for a collaboration between springleap and Hansa Pilsener, a great local beer. I based the type on their tagline: "Brewed with the kiss of the Saaz hop".

My submission for the Australian design mag Wooden Toy's music issue. It's an illustration based on a line from the song 'Messiah Ward' by Nick Cave. His lyrics have so much great imagery, I've been meaning to do something based on his songs for a while. Now I finally have.
